Is he a Maine Coon Cat? Looks like one, that could explain it.

Good eye! I’m pretty sure he’s a Maine Coon. 

Theo was a stray. My college roommates let him in the house one cold, raining night while I was out of town. He was soaking wet and freezing. I immediately fell in love with him and declared that he was mine. When I took him to the vet they estimated that he was 2 years old, that was at least 15 years ago. He is old.

A few people told me that they thought he resembled a Norwegian Forest Cat (http://www.thecatsblog.com/the-largest-breed-norwegian-forest). I researched the breed felt like he was spot on, “furry pantaloons” and all,  but when I submitted photos to a breeder’s website they leaned towards the Maine Coon.

He is the coolest cat ever (except for the midnight meowfest). I’m pretty sure I will never own another cat after this because I know I will be disappointed. He’s actually more like a dog. He’s super friendly and comes running the minute anyone comes in the door.
